MACDOUGAL RENT PARTY – ANNE PRICE, JOEL LANDY & STEVE SUFFETT – in the great hootenany tradition carrying it on into the 21st century: performing at rallies and festivals on boats and retreats their union, prison work songs and diverse repertoire in a range of styles drawing on the folk music of others plus their own rousing the audience to sing-along. Members of Peoples Music Network for songs of freedom and struggle.
BILLY LAMONT, spiritual-activist-poet spoken word with electronic music has toured with Lollapallooza and performed at rock festivals and benefits. Books: strobe light generator, The Gallery of Light CD/Chap Book, billy lamont with the peculiar people. “…a rare bird indeed…unassailable gifts and a phoenix (out of the culture’s ashes, faith.)” – Daniel Berrigan: board member of N.Y. Area Jubilee 2000 and Walt Whitman Birthplace Association.
LAURA MANN, vocalist with autoharp – songs of hope, struggle and life, mixed bag from the shores of Africa to the Americas: has performed at resorts, clubs, special events on TV and radio and in shows, such as the Cinema Arts Theatre 30th Anniversary, Langston Hughes Community Library 25th Anniversary Juneteenth , York College honoring Percy Sutton, Ossie Davis and Rube Dee; musical coordinator of tribute to Sonny Meyerowitz of Sonny ‘s Place.
