Brian from Beat Radio here. I hope everyone is feeling superfantastic. We've been finishing up some recording and recently posted studio versions of "Everything is Temporary" and "Fearful" up and available for download at myspace. Also, I might not have mentioned, the ecstatic ep is now available as a limited edition for $5 at CDBaby. It's also coming soon to itunes. We're currently rehearsing a new Beat Radio set and hope to have an NYC appearance set up very soon. We have some shows in New Jersey in a couple weeks, which i hear is beautiful this time of year.Friday, June 16th we're doing an in-store at Jack's Music Shoppe in Red Bank
Saturday, June 17th we'll be at Asbury Lanes in Asbury Park.
Both shows will also feature the amazing Gordo Gringo.
I was excited to see both "treetops" and "television," a song off my last solo record that i wrote with Tim Lannen, who you may now know from the Diggs, on the quarterly mix tape at this great Blog called Herohill. Check it out here. It's a great mix that also features Silverspun Pickups and Ray Lamontagne's cover of "Crazy" by Gnarly Barkley, which is an amazing version of an amazing song. Download the zip file here.
I'll leave you with a message from a guy who rocks cleveland:
"I got a nice present from the place for friends this morning — a message from Beat Radio that they have some fresh tunes. Beat Radio are one of the bands that I'm totally stoopid for at the moment. You should know, that I'm not totally stoopid for everything that comes my way. If I Rock Cleveland is totally stoopid for a band, that is a very high compliment."Fearul" comes from the as of yet unreleased cd The Great Big Sea. "Fearful is one of those numbers that starts out slow and builds gradually over the course of the song. At first it's a sparse accoustic number, then layers of piano and strings are added to the mix. Eventually, the tempo picks up, the volume picks up, and you find yourself in the middle of a frantic moment."Beat Radio – Fearful.mp3
Hope to see you guys soon.
Best,
B
