Please join us for Amnesty International’s Northeast Regional Conference, at the George Sherman Union, 775 Commonwealth Avenue, on the campus of Boston University, on Saturday, November 11, 2006.

Highights will include:
9:30 a.m. Opening Panel – “The Challenge of Terror, The Challenge of Torture”
10:30 a.m. Morning panels on “The Crisis in Darfur,” “Human Rights in the Russian Federation” and “Ending Sexual Assault Against Native American Women.”
At 2:00 p.m. in the afternoon, our new Executive Director Larry Cox will address the regional conference, and Dr. Meqdes Mesfin will speak about her father, Professor Mesfin Woldemariam, who is a prisoner of conscience in Ethiopia today.
And for our closing plenary at 6 p.m., we will have a special panel to discuss issues surrounding International Justice and Accountability.
