Right now, crowds are gathering at Sarasota‘s Bayfront Park. They’re not out for a Sunday stroll, and they’re not tossing footballs. They’re rallying for a revote in a congressional election which failed to register 18,000 votes.
Yep, you heard it right. 18,000 votes lost, in a very tight race – and Jeb Bush, who oversees certification of Florida’s elections, still hasn’t agreed to hold a revote.
Not all of us can be in Sarasota today. That’s why Common Cause is holding a virtual rally – so you can voice your outrage right where you are, right now.
Click here to join your fellow citizens across the country in demanding a revote.
When you take action now:
- You’re telling Jeb Bush that you will not stand by as 18,000 American citizens are denied their right to vote.
- You’re telling the folks at the rally in Sarasota that you support them.
- You’re telling the country that the rally is just the tip of the iceberg – that people all over the country will continue to fight until justice is done.
As we write, Common Cause President Chellie Pingree is preparing to take to the podium. When she does, she’ll tell the crowd about your action.
Click here now to give the Sarasota rally the momentum it needs to win a revote.
Your fellow citizens are chanting. They’re holding signs. They’re cheering.
Join them, at our virtual rally. It’s the next best thing to being there there.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Chellie Pingree
President
