Dear friends,
Cindy Sheehan, Medea Benjamin, Gold Star Aunt Missy Beattie, and Rev. Patricia Ackerman have been on trial all this past week for 5 charges (trespassing, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and obstructing government administration) stemming from their arrests on March 6th, 2006 while trying to deliver a peace petition to the US Mission to the United Nations for International Women’s Day.
The case was sent to the jury on Friday at 2:30 PM and there was no verdict by 6:30 PM so the case was extended until Monday at 9:30 am at the NYC criminal court at 100 Centre St, NYC on the 4th floor.
These four women who are standing up for our civil rights and for peace would love to see the courtroom full when the verdict comes in on Monday morning!
Thanks so much.
