UPDATE: There will be a protest against the escalation in Iraq, this coming Saturday, 1/13/07, taking place at the Armed Forces Plaza in Hauppauge, 100 Veterans Highway, right in front of the H Lee Dennison Building. It will be held from 4 pm to 5:30 pm.

January 15 (Monday): M.L.King Jr. Annual Breakfast in Islandia at 8 am
On Monday, January 15, 2007, the First Baptist Church of Riverhead will sponsor its twenty-second annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Breakfast. The celebration will be held at 8:00 a.m. at the Hyatt Regency Wind Watch Hotel in Islandia, New York. Among those honored will be Cynthia Richardson, Long Island Director of the Urban League and Peter C. Saros, Founding Member of the Long Island Organizing Network (LION).
