“Elaine Brown to Sing in One-Night Performance in Los Angeles!”
Elaine Brown is a singer, songwriter, author & activist, who also headed the Black Panther party in the 1970’s. During that time, she recorded two albums of her songs arranged by Horace Tapscott and backed by the Pan Afrikan Peoples Arkestra. The first of those two albums, Seize the Time, has just been reissued on CD. Elaine will be here in LA during the 3rd week in January, and on Friday night, January 18, will perform many of her songs at Largo on Fairfax Ave. For reservations (recommended – it is an intimate venue), call 323 852 1073.
