From the editors: Hello. This web-site is primarily a venue for culture and information. Our comments are on “medium moderation”, because there is a narrow focus to our mission. We check messages often to see if someone has a profound thought to share…quite a few are posted in various comment sections.
As this is a volunteer effort, with a political focus, sorry that we can’t do more for personal situations. Someone left the following comment:
<<<<sorry me again any usefull info whould help iam a ahndcapped person dealing with issues like panic attacks, bipolar and goreafobia and its very hard trying to fight thes sickness when this injustice was done to me, so any info whould help>>>
Here are some suggestions
Some ways you might find help with the situation you described above and in more detail:
If injustice is done to a person with a disability, and it is done based on the disability, there is sometime help through a local, state or federal “Commission of Human Rights”, “Division of Civil Rights”, etc. These are often free, but slow.
You might consider finding an attorney yourself. If you call your local “bar association” they can sometimes recommend attorneys who specialize in specific situations. Also, they may have lists of “pro bono” or free attorneys to recommend. Though, it is often difficult to find and qualify for a pro bono attorney, you can always try.
To find assistance for people who are disabled, with various issues, you may look into the idea of an “independent living organization.” That is the phrase used when people are meeting all the various needs of a disabled person who is trying to succeed in the community and only needs some information and support. Some examples of situations such an organization might help with: transportation, housing, questions about government benefits. If you were in Nassau County, Long Island, by me, I would recommend LICIL: Long Island Center for Independent Living.
(This is not legal advice.)
Sorry we could not do more. Hope this helps.
