The poet is Richard Jeffrey Newman. In addition to his own poems, Newman will read translations of Iranian poetry.
The featured musician is singer/songwriter David Bailey, whose very personal songs of life and family have been performed at venues such as the Eclectic Cafe. The Island Songwriter’s Showcase gave David Bailey’s song, “Learning to Fall” the February 2008 “Writer’s Choice Award”.PeaceSmiths Coffeehouse is held at The First United Methodist Church, 25 Broadway/Rt. 110 (southmost end near Merrick Rd./Montauk Highway) in Amityville.
