Long Island Wins is seeking interns to promote practical local solutions to immigration that works for everyone. Immigration is a very important and emotionally charged issue in Long Island. The immigrant community is constantly under attack, now is a critical time to get involved.
In this internship you will learn grassroots organizing skills such as how to build an activist base and construct a strong persuasive argument. In addition our work will help build your confidence, strengthen public speaking skills and introduce you to other people who are passionate about immigration. If you enjoy being outside and meeting new people this internship for you.
This internship requires a minimum commitment of 5 hours per week and it is unpaid. We will happily work with students to earn class credit for their work.
