Happy Cinco de Mayo!
This Friday night in Washington, DC is the opening of Art-O-Matic and I will have a few of my maps on display. In preparation for the exhibition I created a time-lapse video that features me wheapasting dozens of cut up (dissected) maps onto the wall of my 12′ x 8′ exhibit space. With nearly 1,000 participating artists separated between 8 floors of a 12 floor office building, the video should help you find out exactly where my exhibit space is located.
The Base Map Installation @ Art-O-Matic:
Art-O-Matic is Washington, DC’s non-juried, all volunteer, art extravaganza that takes place every few years in a building that is either scheduled for demolition or has yet-to-be completed. This year Art-O-Matic is located a block away from the New York Ave Metro Stop (Red Line) in a massive, unfinished 12 story office building. If you are unable to make it to Friday’s opening, fear not! Art-O-Matic will open Wednesdays through Sundays until June 15th, 2008. Check the website for more information!
Cheers,
