The PeaceSmiths Monthly, Topical, A-Typical, Folk Music, Poetry and Whatever Coffeehouse is held the first Friday of every month from October to June. This is the culminating event of the season. Our Master of Ceremonies will be Gary Ivan. The June coffeehouse used to include a sing-a-long with Lisa Fishbein, who helped us define “folk music” as “music of the folk.” In Lisa’s memory, we will all join in with singing and drumming.
Please come Friday, June 6th at 8pm* to the First United Methodist Church in Amityville at 25 Broadway/rt110 (Southmost end near Merrick Rd/Montauk hwy). (It is a short hike from the train station, or get someone’s phone number and give a call to be picked up.) $7 suggested donation (more if possible, less if necessary, children 1/2 of that). Light refreshments and punch. Bring your own literature, petitions and announcements to share on our information table. For information leave a message at:
(631) 798-0778. (It’s external voice mail, don’t call that night for a ride! Call early and link up with someone!)
*We really do start around 8pm now, and often wrap-up around 11 ish.
