In the News Live From the Suffolk Legislature
June 10, 2008 11:11 AM
I am live at the Suffolk Legislature listening currently to Pat Young’s statement trying to educate Legislators on the harmful effects of mandating the use of the seriously flawed e-verify system.
Right before Pat, Jim Claffey spoke eloquently about how Suffolk County should be focusing on passing some positive legislation instead of constantly passing harmful and hurtful legislation.
Luis Valenzuela of the Long Island Immigrant Alliance just told the Suffolf Leg that they have won the race with themselves to the bottom…it gave me a giggle, but he is completely right and it is an extremely concerning issue.
Today will be a long day at the leg. so if you want to speak, but were afraid it will be too late, go for it. We always welcome any of you to come and exercise your right!
