Friday, September 19th marks the one year anniversary of the Iraq Moratorium. Veterans For Peace Long Island will demonstrate for peace on this date from 6:00-7:00 pm at the Armed Service Plaza, H. Lee Dennison Building on Route 347 in Hauppauge. We invite members of all organizations, and all individuals who love America and concerned with justice to join us and let the truth be heard.
The Moratorium, inspired by the 1969 Vietnam Moratorium, asks people to pledge to take some individual or group action on Moratorium Day, the Third Friday of every month, to show their support for withdrawal of US troops and an end to war.
