Absolutely no excitement. The young kid trying to upset King lost. (I was frustrated that he would not take an anti-Afhganistan War position, anyway. Steve Israel got sixty something to thirty something over his opponent. And, Zeldin (who was very conservative, and anti-immigrant, and had a picture of himself with a gun on his candidate literature) lost handily to Tim Bishop. I really wanted to see Zeldin lose. And, he only got 5.74% on the Conservative line, which is a nice, low number. I had seen “Vote Conservative” anti-immigrant lawn signs around that side of town and it was very frustrating.
