peace
if i make a mistake
cover me
in unwashed dishes
if i make a mistake
cover me
in hard grated cheese
cover me
in number 2 pencils
cover me in manhole covers
and pink soft erasers
if i make a mistake
cover me
in hard earned roses
and suburban hedges
leaf blowers and stand up mowers
if i make a mistake
if i step out of line
if i am caught walking alone
if i forget to keep my head down
and my mouth shut
cover me in cornfields
with your porous borders and
your false offers of work
like a child with
a hole in his umbrella
like a child with
a hole in my language
hole in my green card hobbyhorse
hole in my beans and rice
bullets and propaganda!
hole in my upturned
scatalogical
fifth grade
christmas pageant
if i make a mistake
come rescue me
in your rescue shit
your rescue hat
your rescue helicopter
your surfing rescue lawnchair dream
your big fat vigilante commuter railroad station
O land of shining eyes! with inground heated pool!
with your paper ballots and your politics of
racism and religion and split level fear!
rescue me in your rescue boots!
if you had two boots
you would be my soldier
if you had two boots
you would be my guide
if i had two boots
i would walk with you
through flush twice alligators
through near temptation
through midtown traffic
through your neighborhood of hate
your cop car epiphanies
your insights and categories
through the vicious thicket
of your suburban children —
angry fists, plunging knives —
O great land of work and opportunity
O great lost allegory of the american night!
if i make a mistake
cover my tracks
cover my ass
cover my getaway face
cover me for the gas money
cover my mouth with halloween kisses
with your sticky stick figure
six figure six gun smile
with your ten thousand miniature
mirror images of you!
your revolving door
your asphalt light
tenements! welfare!
city of temporary sanity!
and oblique accents! cover me!
if you had two boots
you would be my savior
if you had two boots
you would be my pride
if i had two boots
you could take me with you
through the green
slanting rain

It is a mark of Nobility to care for the weak. People in Art have many times a beautiful empathy for others.
Thanks for posting your Art for this sad news. I am appalled by the Sadism, Brutality and lack of humanity and empathy for the victims. That someone cares is a sun ray, a new sunshine for this cold world.
Two Latinos have been brutally killed in New York City in less than a month :
Jose Sucuzhanay and Marcelo Lucero in Long Island, New York City.
Add these to the brutal beating and kicking that took the life of Luis Ramirez in Shenandoah Pennsylvania last July.
These Brutal Murders are repugnant. The special Cruelty, Sadism and Inhumanity. The victims were all hard working, peaceful, honest and nice people.
I have a blog to denounce Racial Murders and Racial Hatred. And to profile the good things of the Victims and their Poor families :
Raciality.com
