Green Party Watch has a great post here with photos of Malik and one of the out-of-state volunteers that went to Louisiana to help. Election Day for Congress in New Orleans, Louisiana, District 2 is this Saturday, December 6th. The Greens have a wonderful candidate, and a unique opportunity to win, if we can let people know there is an election! (The odd date was due to Hurricane Gustav and Ike moving the calendar around.)
If you have time to help elect someone to Congress who believes in environmental peace and justice, consider a visit to New Orleans…Pete Karas of Wisconsin did. And, his report on Green Party Watch is full of hope and enthusiasm.
