ABOUT THE FILM:
Winner: Special Jury Prize, Sundance Film Festival
After Innocence documents powerfully the plight of seven men; convicted of
crimes they did not commit and later exonerated by DNA evidence; as they work
to rebuild their lives after moving from a system which imprisoned them
unjustly to one which is unwilling to offer them the support they need. The
film brings to light the flaws in our criminal justice system that too often
lead to wrongful convictions and the long lasting toll that wrongful
imprisonment can take on the human spirit.
