Congress Considers War Financing Bills

It is round-up time in Congress this week – time for Democrats to round up enough votes to finish off a $100 billion war funding measure that has been steadily growing as it makes its way through the House and Senate.
With Republicans abandoning the measure due to international monetary aid included at the request of the White House, House Democrats need to win the support of some Democrats who initially opposed the measure due to spending on combat operations in Afghanistan and Iraq…
