Beat Radio at the Bell House, Friday 9/4/09 & more

Hey guys,

Its Bri. There’s some exciting stuff about Beat Radio that I wanted to let you know about:

1. We have a big show coming up on Friday, September 4th in Brooklyn at the Bell House!

The Bell House is located at 149 7th Street in Brooklyn, NY

The show also features our friends the Mugs. This is another full band show for us. The new lineup feels just right.  We can’t wait to see you guys. There’s a flyer here.

2. We have another new song available for download at beatradio.org. It’s called “Sleepwalking.”

Beat Radio – Sleepwalking

3. More cool things coming up:

Monday 9/7 – live in studio interview and performance on East Village Radio

Tuesday 9/8 – Cross Pollination at Pianos (acoustic show) w/ Beat Radio and Greg Fine. Info here.

4. Here are some nice things people said about us on the world wide interweb:

“Beat Radio proves that music can be a lo-fi, raw, and a bit scuzzy while still being immensely enjoyable” –The Burning Ear

“Sleepwalking” is little fuzzy, lo-fi bits of deliciousness…I love this song. I love that the crazy sounds resonating through my ears are fireworks exploding. I love that this song makes me want to call up my buddies and hang out and abandon my fort for a while.” – Pretty Much Amazing

“Beat Radio’s music is honest, exciting, poetic, wonderful in every way. It’s its own kind of indie pop, and it’s delightful. It can brighten up my day no matter how bad I’m feeling. It fills me with longing, will, dreams. It’s hard to describe, but it gives me hope.” – Vinyl Chick

“Frankly, “sleepwalking” is a beautiful, nostalgic track which makes any other teen summer anthems seem bland.”

Siulelbon’s Media Blog

5. Also, I did an interview recently with Fingertips, which is like an O.G. of MP3 blogs, here. It’s a conversation about being a musician in the digital age.  It’s a pretty wild time to be an artist.  I’d love to hear what you guys think.

See you guys soon!!

All the best,
