My bank is generally very good, very stable and does not have a bunch of ridiculous fees. . . .except. . . . .they have a new policy – back in the day, all deposits for the business day were calculated first, then debits to the account, before closing the transactions for the day. Thanks to technology, now transactions are calculated immediately when they hit the system without regard to deposits first. For example, If a debit charge or check clears in the morning and I can’t make my deposit until the afternoon, they record an overdraft and then you get the fee. So, although my bank does not have ridiculous fees like the others, they have managed to figure out how to charge you excessively with the one fee that we do have. I should have been a banker.
