Rep. Peter King’s District Office 1003 Park Boulevard, Massapequa Park, NY
To bigotry, no sanction; to persecution, no assistance.” – George Washington
Long Island Christian, Jewish and Muslim faith leaders will hold an interfaith PRAY-IN on Tuesday, February 22 at 11 a.m. outside the district office of Representative Peter King (R-NY), calling on Representative King to cancel his planned Congressional hearings to investigate claims of “radicalization” in the American Muslim community. These diverse faith leaders believe the premise of the hearing and the singling out of the Muslim community is counterproductive to improving national security and undermines fundamental American values.
The vigil is sponsored by the Interfaith Alliance Long Island, Pax Christi Long Island, the Muslim Peace Coalition USA, and the Long Island Alliance for Peaceful Alternatives.
