More about Gary Ivan’s artwork:
Gary Ivan’s objects and human forms are immediately recognizable and distinctive, while frequently symbolic at the same time.
While, overall, he is considered an Expressionist, Gary Ivan calls himself a “Zen Cubist”. He considers the foundation of his work to be a spontaneous and spirited line powered by the creative force the Chinese call “Chi”. His work also contains elements of Primitivism. His textures and hues are rich, organic mixtures of color. His objects and human shapes are immediately recognizable and distinctive, while frequently symbolic at the same time. His work presents a transcendent, narrative perspective with a sense of warmth, humor and nonconformity.

In addition to being a fine artist, whose work is respected both locally and internationally, Gary Ivan is also: a singer/songwriter; beloved Open Mic host and MC; and a favorite, Huntington, man-about-town. He is also a dear friend of The Wilders. You should really go to this show. It will be awesome!
