Reflecting on the people hurt and traumatized at the Boston Marathon bombing. Sending out loving thoughts to the families of those who lost their lives.
A soothing children’s song about peace in the world:
“Little Drops of Water” was the Peace Song of the Day at our Peace Couple website for April 23rd of last year. It is a traditional song from England. I first discovered this song in the collection, Singing Bee!, compiled by Jane Hart.
I also wrote my own verse for this song which clearly states the need for “peace”. Below my video are other versions and resources for the “Little Drops of Water” song.

Someone else created modern lyrics which also mention “peace”! See the version by Steve Roslonek of SteveSongs at MusicForClass: here
You can find the original poem this song is based on (by Ebenezer Cobham Brewer) at Mama Lisa’s World: here. Mama Lisa also has great lists of world music and nursery rhymes.
Lyrics for “Little Drops of Water”
Little drops of water
Little grains of sand
Make the mighty ocean
And the pleasant land.
Little deeds of kindness
Little words of love
Help to make earth happy
Like the sky above.
[Or, Like the heaven above.]
Extra verse by PeaceCouple…
When we all are peaceful
When we work for peace
We will love all nations
And the wars will cease.
Video of children performing this song.
