The Green Party NY Governor ticket has earned more than the 50,000 votes needed to keep the Green Party as an automatic, ballot status party!

So far, the Green Party Governor/Lt. Governor ticket has 89,345 votes, with 7,922 of 15,178 districts reporting. That is 4.69% of the vote, though the percentage will probably change a lot depending on which districts are reporting first.

Based on current figures, the Green Party could move up on the ballot to be at the number 4 spot. It looks like the new ballot arrangement might be: Democrat; Republican; Conservative; Green Party; Working Families Party; Independence Party; Stop Common Core Party (may or may not get the 50,000 for automatic ballot status); Women’s Equality Party (may or may not get the 50,000); SAP Party (may or may not get the 50,000); Women’s Equality Party (may or may not get the 50,000). And, the SAP Party will probably not get the 50,000.

Working Families has surpassed the 50,000 automatic ballot status number
Independence Party has 30,370 votes, so there is a small chance they will not reach 50,000 ballot status
Stop Common Core (created by Astorino supporters) has 23,884, so there is a chance it could reach 50,000 ballot status

In Suffolk County, for NY Congressional District 1, incumbent, Democrat Tim Bishop has lost to Republican Lee Zeldin.

In Nassau/Suffolk, for NY Congressional District 2, incumbent, Republican Peter King has won his seat again.

Green Party candidate in Nassau County, William D. Stevenson, running in the NY Cong District 2, won 1.6% of the votes.
