April 5, 2025 is a chance for all Americans to nonviolently protest against the DOGE and Elon Musk interference in our government, against Trump’s attempt to disappear people with no due process, and for restoring needed government services and the rule of law in America.
The 50501 Movement and Women’s March were the first groups to announce an April 5th day of protest. And, these groups are hoping that many folks will come to Washington, DC to confront the federal government where it stands, and to gather in a large group of focused activists.
Of course, if you cannot go to DC, please do find a local action. You can find local events by looking up your city or zip code in places such as: mobilize.us; handsoff2025; 50501 on Reddit. Or, check in with your activist friends or local political or community groups.
Please remember that the first goal is to get people to DC! Though, below are some events happening on Long Island on April 5, 2025. (There is great music scheduled for the Patchogue event!)
