KW: Wow! My co-blogger is probably not going to like me mucking up his blog with this story about a Democrat…
But…Well, here is an e-mail I sent out to my Democrat and/or adamantly pro-choice friends:
Timely! Confusion over candidate Bill Owens in the NY-23rd Congressional District
Do you know anyone in the NY 23rd District who should understand this in the few hours of voting left?????
It is not like I, personally, as a third party person want a Democrat to win.
But…I don’t like someone losing a race because of confusion. And, it seems horrible if someone’s “base” votes against them because of a media screw-up.
I believe that Democrat Bill Owens in the 23rd District is pro-choice. (You can check me, but I found one article that said it, and it seems logical to me.)
But, a big Democrat political blogger listed him as pro-life. So, I think some Democrats may wrongly tune Owens out.
I just found a news piece that may explain the confusion.
It seems that there is a “Bill Owens” who was a Republican Governor in Colorado. And, NBC Today Show mixed up the images of the two Bill Owens. So, I am sure others are confused.
In addition some reports have said that pro-life people are swarming the polls in support of the Conservative candidate, Doug Hoffman.
Please pass this info on where you think it could help in these waning hours…
Peace,
Kimberly Wilder

The other Bill Owens

“It was only a matter of time before our Bill Owens got confused with their Bill Owens. It happened this morning on NBC’s The Today Show.
A graphic about the hotly contested congressional race in New York showed a picture of the very Republican Bill Owens, a two-term governor from Colorado. It was supposed to be a picture of Democrat Bill Owens, who is running for the seat…”
