KW: The Huffington Post article did not seem as kind to the protesters’ side as one would hope. Some mainstream articles led with a byline that there 10,000 protesters. The Huffington Post led with a byline that there was some violence. Though, I will say that the Huffington Post explained the situation the most carefully. Seems like at the end of the march, at the back of the march, a small group of folks started throwing things. (Ummm…and also, the HP characterizes them as “the anarchists”, and I am not sure about that as being helpful either…don’t know how true it is.)
By the way, some reports said 10,000 demonstrators in total. But, the organizers claimed 15,000. So, if you do the math formula Ian and I always use for these things, there were about 12,500 people there.
