In that spirit, the higher-ups at Brookhaven National Laboratory have denied a request from Peter Maniscalco of Renew Community Earth to let the Shinnecock Indian Nation perform a spiritual ceremony of reverence for the 15,000 trees that are about to be cleared from 200 acres of lab property in order to build a new solar farm.
