Green Drinks Long Island will be holding it’s October networking event at the fashionable Off The Wall Restaurant in Huntington (http://www.offthewallny.com/). Off The Wall hosted GDLI’s first ever event in June which drew almost 80 people.

Green Drinks International is a global networking organization with chapters in over 220 cities worldwide (Greendrinks.org). Green Drink’s events draws people from academia, business, NGOs, religious institutions and governmental agencies, etc. Public officials, entrepreneurs and unaffiliated people who are interested in green business, energy issues, conservation and matters of sustainability are encouraged to attend Green Drink’s events.

Long Island has long been a source of energy research, environmental leadership and green business initiatives. Local legislators such as Suffolk County Majority Leader, Jon Cooper and United States Congressman Steve Israel envision Long Island as a green technology “Silicon Valley”. Green Drinks Long Island seeks to facilitate a critical mass of relationships and collaborations where ideas and deals can flourish and provide a platform for Long Island ‘s leadership in the new green energy economy.
