This five piece acoustic band features multi-voice harmony, and the band members often switch instruments during their performance. The band features four of Long Island’s acclaimed singer/songwriters and a respected session drummer who all have been playing the local scene for some time: Sonny Speed, (Director of Island Songwriters Showcase and who played with the band that became Orleans ) is featured on mandolin, guitars, melodica and vocals. On guitar, mandolin, bass and vocals, Vinny Crici was chosen as ‘Country Star of Tomorrow’ by Country Music Magazine. On guitar, bass and vocals, Tim Huss has performed at Westbury Music Fair, and one of Tim’s songs was featured on a national wildlife TV program on the Fox network. On fiddle and vocals, Lora Kendall can also be found playing classical music as a violinist in the Sound Symphony.
Session drummer Rob Langley is featured on percussion and vocals. He’s even done work for producer Shadow Morton. That’s Robert drumming on the Shangri-Las’ “Leader of the Pack.” He even got to rev that iconic motorcycle!
Tornado Alley enjoys blending many acoustic sounds from across America , writing fresh new songs that feel as if you already know them.
