In posting this information at www.li4cynthia.com, I realized it would be nice to have the information spelled out here on wilderside, too. Because Cynthia McKinney is such a champion for truth, justice, and human rights, everyone is not privy to her excellent views on the environment. Here are some of her positions on environmental issues:

A New Deal for Sustainable Energy and Transportation
As President, Cynthia McKinney will leave the oil in the soil and invest in solar, wind, geothermal and other sustainable energy sources. These investments will result in new jobs, fresh air, and affordable transportation for America.
Cast your vote for a sustainable energy policy that excludes nuclear energy, and secures better employment, a healthier economy, a cleaner environment, and a safer world.
Cynthia is against nuclear power. (Both John McCain and Barack Obama support new nuclear power plants.)
Cynthia acknowledges that truly sustainable energy sources are much safer and better than nuclear energy. Nuclear energy is not sustainable, in that the waste cannot be disposed of. And, the amount of time and energy needed to create nuclear energy, means it is just a very expensive and carbon-intense way to boil water. (After all Al Gore’s preaching on global warming, and becoming a hero to many environmentalists, we now learn that Al Gore thinks that nuclear is part of the solution to global warming. His position can only be considered a sick joke.)
Cynthia is for solar power, wind power, geothermal power and other truly sustainable energy sources.
Cynthia knows that America needs better air quality. And, Cynthia knows that cleaning up our energy use will help accomplish the goal of cleaning up our air. (As an asthmatic, herself, Kimberly Wilder says, “Got asthma? Vote Green Party – Vote Cynthia McKinney for President.”)
