Checking on McKinney/Clemente election returns

For people who like to watch all the numbers come in, Green Party Watch found another, good link for third party presidential results: AOL here. Guess that is mildly better that FOX News, who Ballot Access News found who was also giving out third party presidential results.

The AOL site put Cynthia McKinney’s national total at 139,240. And, remember, many states, like New York, will pick up thousands of votes when they do the automatic recanvas/recounts. In New York, at least, third party candidates nearly always go up on the recount, because election workers weren’t all eager to report our totals on election night, when trying to see who won.

(By the way, congratulations to Cynthia McKinney and Rosa Clemente. I am so happy that they carried the Green Party banner. Hope they work with us again. Rosa had been a Green for a pretty long time. I think she, in particular, is really committed to sticking around.)
