Maui Talks-TV will live broadcast Tuesday, February 10th
Nik-Hil Productions, in association with Harold William Peltz Entertainment, announces our next live broadcast, on Tuesday, 10 February 2009, starting at 7:00pm [Hawaii time] [I think that is 2pm EST?], on Channel 53, Akaku: Maui Community Television.
MAUI TALKS-TV is a weekly, one-hour Public Affairs call-in talk show, produced and hosted by Nikhilananda, which is broadcast live every other Tuesday evening. This show, our one hundred and fifty-fourth live broadcast, will be repeated the following Tuesday, 17 February 2009, at 7:00pm and again the next Wednesday morning, 18 February 2009, at 8:00am, and is sponsored by Upcountry Veterinary Services, Bio-Beetle Rental Cars, Maui Recycling Service and Shangri-La By The Sea Indian Restaurant.

Loosely based on “talk-radio”, the format of the show allows viewers to further critique and expound upon assorted items which are affecting our community. While watching the program on the evenings when the show is broadcast live, viewers are invited, encouraged and welcomed to telephone into the show at 873-3430, [888-577-6240 on Molokai and Lanai] and express their beliefs, concerns, feelings, ideas, opinions, positions and thoughts as to the various issues of the day and what is transpiring in Maui County and the State of Hawai’i.
MAUI TALKS-TV aired for the first time on TUESDAY, 9 July 2002, and is now the longest continuously running live call-in talk show on AKAKU. In the “BEST OF MAUI 2005” edition of MAUITIME WEEKLY, MAUI TALKS-TV was chosen “Best AKAKU Program”. At the 1st Annual AKAKU TV Awards in 2003, Nikhilananda was chosen “Best On Camera Talent” and “Best Studio Producer” by the independent producers of AKAKU.
