In partnership with Riverside Church in New York City, the Brady Center’s God Not Guns Coalition is coordinating a nationwide “God Not Guns Sabbath” for this upcoming weekend.
The Coalition invites communities of every faith to commemorate the lives lost to gun violence and renew the commitment to a vision of a peaceable world.
Please join us this Sunday for our marquee event:
Riverside Church (480 Riverside Drive)
Sunday, September 30 | 10:45 a.m. Service
Join us … as we reflect on the spiritual and moral ramifications of gun violence.
Join us … as we come together to commemorate the lives lost to gun violence.
Join us … as we seek to renew our commitment to a vision of a peaceable world.
Participating in the service will be Rev. Arnold Thomas, Minister of Education, Riverside Church; Rev. Rachel Smith, Brady Board Member and Founder, God Not Guns; Jackie Rowe Adams, Founder, Harlem Mothers SAVE; and Rev. Jesse Jackson (invited).
Riverside Church is also sponsoring God Not Guns: A Concert For Living on Saturday night, along with a Wall of Names Exhibit honoring youth killed by violence. Click here for more details.
We also invite you to learn more about God Not Guns and how you and your faith community can get involved in this important program. We hope you can be there on Sunday.
Sincerely,
Sarah Brady, Chair
