From Forbes, we learn, that the Spanish Truck strike has been suspended. Several truck drivers’ unions felt that the government took some measures to help, so that it was worth suspending the strike.
From Reuters, we have an update on the Fisherman’s Strike. “Ministers from seven European Union countries called on Tuesday for sharply higher state aid for fishermen hit by rising fuel prices, after a wave of protests and strikes.” “The proposals from ministers from France, Spain, Slovenia, Italy, Greece, Portugal and Malta are part of a package of measures to help fishermen which will be sent to a full meeting of EU agriculture ministers next week.”
