I think it would be wonderful sometime, if the Green Party of the United States created rules that allowed for an actual vote for the Vice Presidential candidate. But, alas, that is not yet the case. And, this year, since the Presidential Convention is so late, the Vice Presidential candidate will have to be announced ASAP. I believe with the delegate count so far, people are presuming that Cynthia McKinney will win the Green Party presidential nomination.
Still, greens can always try to express their wishes and lobby for their favorites.
Please take a poll of who you want the Green Party Veep to be. The poll is at Green Party Watch, a new – very popular – web-site by a team of green activists around the country. Don’t think I can link directly to the poll. Go to the front page of Green Party Watch, and on the right hand side, scroll down under the silhouette of the mystery v.p.
There is a list of over a dozen candidates. As of this minute, there is a tie for the lead with Jared Ball and Rich Whitney. Malik Rahim is close by in third place.
