Grossman has specialized in investigative reporting in print, radio and television for more than 40 years. He is also a professor of journalism at the State University of New York/College at Old Westbury where his courses include Investigative Reporting. Grossman is the author of six books including Cover Up: What You Are Not Supposed to Know About Nuclear Power; Power Crazy; and The Wrong Stuff: The Space Program’s Nuclear Threat to Our Planet. His website, www.karlgrossman.com, provides more information on this work. The journalism awards he has received include the George Polk, James Aronson and John Peter Zenger Awards.
For over 15 years, Grossman has hosted the nationally-aired TV program Enviro Close-Up. He has also written and narrated TV documentaries for EnviroVideo including Nukes In Space: The Nuclearization and Weaponization of the Heavens. EnviroVideo is now carried on Free Speech Television. Grossman is the chief investigative reporter for WVVH-TV and does weekly radio commentary for WLIU-FM . His weekly column runs in Press Newspaper Group papers and is syndicated in other newspapers. He has given lectures in the U.S. and around the world.
Babylon Green Party Gatherings are held on the first Wednesday of every month:
- The December 3, 2008 Gathering will be our annual Green Party Holiday Party with an acoustic performance by Easy Anthems.
- The January 7, 2009 Gathering will feature Kirby Einhorn of LI Wins on the necessity of immigrants to the LI economy.
- The February 4, 2008 Gathering will feature a poetry reading from Nassau Community College Professor Amy King.
The Green Party is an alternative party to the Democrats and Republicans. The four pillars of the Green Party are: Nonviolence/Peace; Grassroots Democracy; Social and Economic Justice; and Ecological Wisdom.
