Benazir Bhutto was a woman leader in Pakistan. She was assassinated in December of 2007, shortly after another incident where her entourage was bombed. I cannot find it in the archives, though, I heard an interesting piece about her on Democracy Now!, about how she was not always a perfect politician, though more and more came to understand how she could and should represent the people.
Her oldest daughter, Bakhtawar Bhutto, has created a rap video in tribute of her mother. It is very beautiful and heartfelt.

Below is a quote from Benazir Bhutto, as noted on Democracy Now!
We want to avoid bloodshed. We want to avoid loss of life, but I also want to say that if it means sacrificing our lives, if it means sacrificing our liberty, to save Pakistan and to save democracy, because we believe democracy alone can save Pakistan from disintegration and a militant takeover, then we are prepared to risk our lives, and we are prepared to risk our liberty. But we are not prepared to surrender our great nation to the militants. – Benazir Bhutto
