KW writes: The Green Party of Suffolk supported council districts, as a measure that would bring a little more grassroots democracy to the current way Huntington elects council district members. However, on the bright side of this election, with at-large districts, it is easier to implement IRV [Instant Runoff Voting] and proportional representation measures which might be an even stronger way to allow minority viewpoints to be expressed in town elections.
