Free summer concerts for the Long Island community. What you might find at a Pops Concert: songs from the movies; Broadway musicals; a march here and there; and just a taste of the most memorable portions of your favorite classics. Rousing is a good word for a Pops concert.
The schedule:
Friday, June 11th at 7:30pm: FTC Pops at DHPAC, The Dix Hills Performing Arts Center, at Five Towns College. Theme: Broadway musicals, old and new. Free, though, tickets are required. Give a call to the Box Office, or come early: (631) 656 – 2148
Friday, June 25th at 7:30pm: FTC Pops at Eisenhower Park, East Meadow. Bring a lawn chair and enjoy!
Friday, July 9th at 8:00pm: Concert Pops of Long Island at Bethpage Community Park, Nassau County. Featuring guest vocalists Deana Verone and Jim Sergi.
Thursday, July 15, 2010 at 7:30pm: FTC Pops in Port Jefferson. Bring a lawn chair and enjoy!
Friday, August 6th at 7:30pm: Concert Pops of Long Island at Eisenhower Park, East Meadow, Nassau County. “Salute to America” with guest vocalists Jim Sergi and Deana Verone.
