Report on Independent Nominating Petitions Filed
(ie: independent and some third party candidates.)
Onthewilderside will provide extensive information on who is on the ballot in the 2010 November elections in New York State. In previous years, offering the service of a picture of the ballot – showing all options, third party, independent, etc. – has brought us our biggest audience.
Now is the time for independent petitions, which are used groups such as the Green Party and Libertarians who are not official “third parties” yet. The deadline is August 17, 2010. So, we will have an update shortly after.
For now, we have the news from Ballot Access that conservative Carl Paladino has filed signatures on the “Taxpayer Party” line to run for Governor. Petitions might also come in from: Constitution Party, Green Party, Libertarian Party, Anti-Prohibition Party, and others.
