Laura Wells, the Green Party candidate for governor of California, was arrested outside Americano Hall just before the debate was to begin.
She was protesting her exclusion from the event at Dominican University of California.
Wells was wearing a green shirt at the time. The arrest was peaceful with officer putting her in handcuffs and then taking her away in a squad car.

As Meg Whitman and Jerry Brown prepare for their final gubernatorial debate, the Green Party candidate for governor, Laura Wells, has been arrested outside the debate site.
Wells was protesting her exclusion from Tuesday’s debate, according to a spokeswoman.
