Mexico says US border agent killed boy

A US Border Patrol agent was involved in a shooting on the Arizona border with Mexico on Wednesday that resulted in the death of a 17-year-old boy trying to illegally scale the border fence, Mexican police said.

Americans, especially American parents, should be frightened, when our law enforcement shoot at 17-year-olds. I am especially concerned about language in the media — which seems to be a kind of defense of the government and border patrol — that tries to justify the killing by claiming that this young man may have thrown rocks, and was doing things “under cover of night.”
