All events that take place at the Edgewood Preserve are free of charge. We always meet in the parking area, near the information kiosk.
March 19, 2011, 7p.m. to 9p.m. Full Worm Moon Hike. Celebrate the full moon and the arrival of spring on Long Island. Limited to 12 people. Reservations are required for this hike. Bring small flashlight and dress warmly. Rain and cloudy conditions will cancel this hike.
Saturday, April 23, 2011, 9:30a.m. to 12:30p.m. 6th Annual Earth Day at Edgewood! Come help spruce up hiking trails, pick up litter from parking lot, pull mugwort and more. We need lots of volunteers. All welcome. Water, gloves, bags, and tools provided, but your own pruners and gloves are welcomed and helpful. Last year we had almost 200 volunteers! Let’s do it again…
Friends of Edgewood Preserve will celebrate its 5th Anniversary in May 2011. We are planning a cocktail party fundraiser to celebrate all we have accomplished and to honor some very special friends who have helped along the way. Stay tuned for date and details!

Friday, July 15, 2011, 8:30p.m. to 10:30p.m. Full Buck Moon Hike. Celebrate the full moon as we hike Edgewood on a summer evening. Limited to 12 people. Reservations required for this hike. Bring a small flashlight, wear closed shoes (no sandals!). Rain and cloudy conditions will cancel this hike. RAINDATE: Saturday, August 13, 2011, 8:00p.m. to 10:00p.m., Full Sturgeon Moon.
Saturday, December 10, 2011, 5:30p.m. to 7:30p.m. Full Cold Moon Hike. Celebrate the coming of winter. Limited to 12 people. Reservations required for this hike. Bring a small flashlight and dress warmly. Rain, heavy snow or icy conditions will cancel this hike.
