Cynthia McKinney, the Green Party‘s presidential candidate in 2008 and participant on the Free Gaza Movement ships DIGNITY and HUMANITY, will join 2010 Green Party NY State candidates Howie Hawkins (Governor) and  Colia Clark (US Senate) for a dialogue this Sunday, September 12 at 12pm, at The Commons in Brooklyn.

Topics will include connecting American imperial wars abroad to the
intensifying economic and social injustices in the United States, and how to solve this vicious cycle.

Ms. McKinney, who is in NYC this weekend to speak on the impact of 9/11 and to support the Rally Against Racism and Islamophobia, will also have the latest news on her current Bike Across America For Peace (Bike4Peace) Campaign (due to arrive in Washington, D.C. in early October).

Hawkins,the Green Party Governor candidate, has called to cut the
military budget by at least 50% to provide a peace dividend to fund a
WPA-style Jobs program, a transition to a carbon-free energy system,and affordable housing. Hawkins also wants to stop the use of predator drones, which are controlled from the Hancock air base outside of Syracuse, in the Middle East wars.
