Sophia Garden & Learning Center to host A Holiday Happening – Holiday Purchases with a Purpose
AMITYVILLE, NEW YORK – On Saturday, December 8, 2007, Sophia Garden & Learning Center will present its third annual A Holiday Happening – Holiday Purchases with a Purpose at the Motherhouse of the Sisters of Saint Dominic. The event will benefit the Sophia Garden & Learning Center’s CSA (Community Sustained Agriculture) project and educational programs at the Learning Center.
A Holiday Happening – Holiday Purchases with a Purpose will provide an alternative to the commercial, harried experience of contemporary holiday shopping. With special vendors who care about people and the earth, shoppers can choose from a wide variety of fine gifts for all ages, knowing that their purchases have a purpose – supporting Sophia Garden and Learning Center, as well as the earth and people-centered projects.
This special shopping event will be held from 10 am – 4 pm in Mother Josepha Hall at the Motherhouse of the Sisters of Saint Dominic, 555 Albany Avenue, Amityville, NY 11701. There is ample parking on the side of the building.
Shoppers can enjoy refreshments, make new friends, have fun, and feel good about their holiday purchases!
