Kimberly and Ian Wilder extend their deepest sympathies to the victims of the bombing and shooting in Norway, to the friends and families of the victims, and to the people of Norway.
We would wish that the news coverage would focus on a discussion of the victims, the implications of the tragedy, and an abstract analysis of why it happened.
We do not wish to see the image of the perpetrator, at this time, while the families are still grieving, and the dead have not been buried. We do not wish to hear pronouncements from the gunmen, nor be pointed to his Manifesto. We do not think it is a good idea to broadcast the ideas of someone who used violence to express his message. We do not think it is fair to let his arrogant and warped statements be made into headlines, as Norway and the rest of the world try to deal with and process the grief of what has happened.
