Journey of the Universe was beautifully filmed on the Greek Island of Samos, where evolutionary philosopher Brian Thomas Swimme weaves a compelling story of the unfolding of the universe and humanity’s place in it. This engaging narrative combines scientific discoveries in astronomy, geology, biology, ecology and biodiversity with humanistic insights concerning the nature of the cosmos.
The event will start by gathering in the Sky Room at the Cinema Arts Centre for Continental Breakfast. After the screening a panel discussion will take place with Sister Miriam Therese MacGillis, OP Founder of Genesis Farm; Sister Jeanne Clark, OP Founder of Homecoming; and Elizabeth M. Keihm, Executive Director, Homecoming.
Homecoming, founded in 1992, is a non-profit committed to the belief that the human and natural world is one community of life. This belief finds expression in our two principal projects: Sophia Garden, a NOFA-certified organic farm & Sophia Learning Center, which offers programs for children and adults.
