Call NY Governor David Paterson at 518-474-8390 or 518-474-7516 and tell him to “Say NO to Broadwater.”
Shell Oil and TransCanada are proposing to put Broadwater–an industrial, liquefied natural gas facility in Long Island Sound. This would give multinational corporations a special monopoly on a piece of our waterways. It is an unheard of giveaway of a public resource. New York Governor David Paterson will either approve or deny the Broadwater proposal soon. Your call will help.
The video below is a plea from local environmental activist Adrienne Esposito. It includes photos and information about the mass, citizen movement to stop broadwater, and why government must listen to the input of the people.
